Faye: I wasn`t short of options

Apparently a blast from the past helped recommend Newcastle to our new centre half signing Abdoullaye Faye! Former flop Amady has finally done something positive for the team two years after leaving! Our Faye said:

'Wigan, Portsmouth, Manchester . . . there were three or four other clubs wanting to sign me. But obviously I had worked with Sam at Bolton. He had confidence in me and I had confidence in him, so I thought it would be a good thing to come here. I spoke to Amady Faye before I joined Newcastle and he said this was a great club.'
