Deco and Emre dealings

News from a few outlets is already speculating that the first departure during the January window will be our midfield schemer Emre, who looks set to be the subject of a new move from Galatasary to bring him home to his first club. Despite his rayker goal against the mackems that allows him cult status with many of our fans, his overall contribution to the last three seasons has been negligible to say the least, having spent months injured and feeling his way back to long periods basically not getting stuck in. No great loss in my John Humblest but no doubt others will be mortified to see him go.

On the other hand those doubters could be pleasantly surprised if the man to replace him is Deco. Mooted as being a target during the summer window, the Brazilian born Portuguese playmaker remains a constant source of speculation over a move to NE1. Nothing concrete has cropped up from either club so far but this is definitely one to keep an eye on over the next few months.

Will only be happy if one comes in for the other. If not Emre to stay.
