Two Pools snubs new deal

As a "local lad who just wants to play for his local team" Steven Taylor`s dad has admitted he`s knocked back a new five year deal that was put to him recently. Obviously conscious of the fact players like Emre and Duff are picking up monster wages for keeping the physios in work, the centre half has knocked back the new deal citing the wages being picked up by the likes of Jimmy Milner and new signing Abdoullaye Faye.

With two years to go on his existing deal and the likes of Mourinho and Benitez having been named as admirers of the lad in the press are the club trying to force him out? Many fans are questioning just where he`s going to fit in come next month, with the likes of Enrique, Capaca, Faye and Beye to all come into the first team picture proper.

There's NO way NUFC should even dream of *****in Tails about he's a quality defender and should give the lad what he deserves and keep him,He's one of the best up and coming defender in England and if we are so stupid to let him slip off to Arsenal or Chelsea, We would be the muppets.

Hes not going anywhere. Bottom line is hes not happy with receiveing anything lower than his team mates and i dont blame him. The performances he puts in along with the pride and prospect of him in a black n white shirt in years to come surely deserves the same. We all know they players are over paid but you have to even out squad wages or uncertainty will arise i.e todays article. Shame on nufc for not thinking his contract through before asking him to put pen to paper. They will know re offer a much deserved contract and the deal will be done. End of.

Nice of you guys to bring him through, but if the club doesn't appreciate him, we'll pop over and pick him up from you at the end of the season.;)

he really has improved in the last couple of years. i remember he was one of the only CB's who kept drogba quiet at st james. we wouldnt mind taking him off your hands lads
