Once again it looks like we`ve let a player get called up for international duty only for the country`s FA to pack him back off to us injured after a token appearance for the national side in an utterly pointless friendly game. The only surprise (or non-surprise to most) is that it`s Emre as opposed to Steven Carr or Michael Owen.
The Turks decided to play him only for the player to limp off after 40 minutes. News is awaited on just how serious it is. Earlier in the week Sam said:
"Emre will probably go away with Turkey - there's nothing we can do about it. Emre hasn't played a game for us yet, so that's a worry. There's more chance of him getting injured than anyone else. He tells me that he'll only have half an hour or 45 minutes, so I hope that's the case and when he gets back, we'll get him up to speed.'
Start calling him Mystic Mag - he did only get just under the 45 minutes stated. However the circumstances surrounding it are again a joke. Time for FIFA to act? Like shite they will. I`d be looking at the Arbitration for Sport panel to be awarding us compo and for the Turks to have to pay Emre`s wages whilst he`s out.

Total joke Ross. His injury record is an embarrassment and he should never have come close to playing for them. I agree with the compo - get them to cough up for the little fat man.
