EMO and Smithy draw blanks

In a fairly active England friendly last night our front two failed to trouble the scorers as Alan Smith and Michael Owen played 57 minutes before being replaced. Incidents of note included Smithy glancing a header across goal that no-one got on the end of, whilst EMO saw a header stopped by Lehmann in the first half and missed a sitter having dinked the ball past the keeper in the second. Steven Taylor missed out on a first cap due to the new "6 substitutes" rule whilst ex-waster Kieron Dyer missed the chance of the game.
