Faye due in today

Whilst Sam`s backroom raiding had been the only previous foray into his former club`s dealings, the gaffer this morning looked to be heading to tie up the transfer of hulking brute Abdoulaye Faye. A fee in the region of £2m is being mentioned for the centre midfielder converted into a centre half, as Wanderers shed their better centre half from Saturday. Leaving them with Gerald Cid for the game against Fulham tonight, it looks likely Fulham will pagger Little Sam`s side out of sight. Lump on the Cottagers for the win, in my John Humblest.

The Times speculates Faye`s medical will take place later today, possibly leaving him battling Cacapa for a slot on the bench v Villa should it all come off.

Looks like he could be signed before the weekend after being left out of Boltons game last night with Fulham.
