Newcastle United Reserves recovered from a 2-0 deficit at Kingston Park to maintain their unbeaten home record, all thanks to a last-minute strike from Carl Finnigan.
United fell behind to Everton's Nigerian forward Victor Anichebe, who opened the scoring on 21 minutes after showing strength in the six-yard box to fire past Steve Harper.
He made it 2-0 on 38 minutes when he calmly slotted through the legs of Harper, but that came just seconds after Newcastle had hit the crossbar.
However, with five minutes to go before the break, Pattison curled home a cracking left-foot effort from 25 yards, and Finnigan grabbed his sixth of the season by scoring with seconds remaining.
United's next game is on February 2 against Manchester United at Hyde United (7.00).
