Dyer talks planned

It`s taken a day or two but Big Sam has finally got round to addressing the somewhat curious Kieron Dyer state of affairs. With newspapers both locally and nationally suggesting he`s a high priority signing for moneybags West Ham, the gaffer has come out and admitted there will be some face-to-face talks with the midfielder. Sam said:

"I suppose I will have to have a chat and a conversation with Kieron to see if he thinks there is anything in it and if there is, we will discuss it privately from there.

But at the moment, there is no bid from West Ham, so until Alan Curbishley rings me or the chief executive rings (chief operating officer) Russell Cushing, then there would be no discussion.

It has been rumoured in the papers and sometimes there is no smoke without fire. But if there's a bid going to come in, I would probably expect a phone call either today or over the weekend because they have lost one of their new players.

Whether there is some interest there now, I don't know. Kieron Dyer is not a player I would particularly want to lose, but one never knows at this stage of the season what's going to happen."

Locally, the emphasis from the Journal and Ronnie is that if the right bid came in then the lad would be on his way following the grief he took at the Blackburn and Watford games at the end of last season.

Why would dyer want to play with ex toon rejects when he can be a major part of this new look force? If allardyce says he wants him to stay why the fccuk wud he say ''Kieron Dyer is not a player I would particularly want to lose, but one never knows at this stage of the season what's going to happen." this is absolute b u l l s h i t! West ham can ki$$$ my white a$$$

'Riverdance' Dyer - Fastest Feet In Toon Sam Allardyce says midfielder Kieron Dyer has the fastest feet in Toon, and promises fans the England international will get better when the season gets into gear. The 28-year-old Dyer has one failing, and that is his lack of goals, despite claiming his best position is striker. He has been with United for eight years but he has only scored 36 goals, and lived in the shadow of Gary Speed for some time, who guaranteed the club 7 or 8 goals a season. Allardyce: "When has Kieron Dyer never looked sharp? He has the quickest feet in the game and he has the sharpest touch on the ball I have ever seen. "And, touch wood, he is now over some of the injury problems he has had and the more he plays the better he will get. "He is now at the right age as a footballer to become a major force, not only with Newcastle United but with England as well." Just look what he done to Lehmann last season. Of course we want him for foook sake
Toon4LiFe
Nah get rid of him i know he's fast and still a good player but if his heart is on leaving let him go.Was'nt he spotted at west ham a month back? I'd say get rid if he gets injured again he's finished anyhow.

Kierons been in serious rehabilitation from his last injury.. He's not prone to injury anymore im sure of it. Dyer will be on top form these next seasons. We shouldnt let him go. But as allardyce says, if he needs to go for family reasons and that reason only so be it. I just dont see how he needs to play for a london team to see his family wen he could just take a private jet to london any time he wanted. He's got the money?! What he brings to the game is irreplaceable imo.
Toon4LiFe
Yeh i totally agree with you he could fly wherever to see his family. I heard that his sister is into drugs and that is the reason he wants a move to be closer to her. Sill if she lives in Ipswich why move to West ham?? We all know its no use keeping a player if he doesnt want to be here But the deal has to be right for us.
davidmillzy
I'm always dubious of players who claim that they need a move for family reason, however if this is the case. Spammers are probably the nearest PL club to Ipswich. How do you guys think your squad is shaping up for the new season?
Topspur1
moneybags west ham? i like that - it used to be moneybags chelsea
Dales_Dad
The new squad looks to be taking shape and looking quite good i must say, Gerami looks a great signing and with Luque having a good pre season i feel we will do well this season what with Owen,Martins,Viduka. But i still think we need another few defenders maybe Sol Cambell if we could prise him from Pompy. I think dyer is a great player but cmon wanting a move just for family reasons, I bet BSA wouldnt buy someone just so the player is closer to his family, go ahead moneybags West ham sign him quick before he gets injured Again LOL
davidmillzy
After all those years on Tyneside he claims 'personal' reasons? Give over!

Why do you think its fallen through at the last minute?
