Oba staying according to BSA

Speaking last night on Sky Sports, Big Sam gave a candid interview detailing a lot more of his summer plans and also where people stood in terms of moves. In particular he mentioned Oba, saying:

'I have not spoken to Oba himself, only his representatives, who assure me there is nothing in it. But while the window is open and when somebody has a get-out clause like he does, there is always a chance you might lose him. You hope that is not going to be the case, but you have to just keep your fingers crossed and hope it does not happen.'

BSA`s constant referrals to the get-out clause seem to suggest he might just be keen to see the lad leave - why keep drawing attention to it otherwise?

ross, i was thinkin the same!? on the 20th june martins pledged himself to newcastle and all of a sudden i hear BSA exposing his 13 m clause !? im baffled?? he's doing the same with owen! owen was shtum before SA started talking and he recently said hes staying at newcastle, but the next morning BSA was quick to say he cant guarantee hes gonna stay!? At first i thought it was just to test the players integrity... but Allardyce may want a new striker!? Its all getting me a bit aggitated. i want both of em here next season.. foook ne1 else.

It's all getting a bit suspicious. Why keep mentioning it? It's got me baffled. Surely if he wants him to stay he'd be doing his level best to draw attention away from the clause not highlight it.
