'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Cheers Roy (and Niall)

Vital Newcastle would like to say a big thanks to the comedy double act of Royston Keane and 'St' Niall Quinn for a timely top up to NUFC`s transfer kitty. His 'magic carpet` (or piss-stained mattress as some wags are already calling it) has taken him to Cardiff where Michael Chopra has been purloined for the princely sum of £5 million. However a word to the wise reveals that NUFC are set to pocket 25% of this sum as the sell-on clause in Chopra`s contract gets activated. So as Michael gets to meet his fellow first team luminaries Greg Halford, Chris Baird and Russell Anderson, Big Sam will be using some of Niall and Roy`s dosh to hopefully torpedo them come November 10th. Roll on the derby.

Anderson, Chopra, Baird, Halford - £12m
Viduka, Geremi, Barton, Rozenhal - £8.5m

I wonder who`s got the better deal from four players?

What are your realistic hopes for the season ahead? I think with Big Sam in charge and the acquisitions of Viduka and Barton you should be back in the top six mix.
