Number Five in the bag?

Number Five in the bag?

With Austrian Magpie spies operating in the training camp, it hasn`t gone unmissed that Big Sam hasn`t been at the last couple of days of workouts. This morning the Journal says that he`s been away conducting high profile face-to-face negotiations with a central defender about a move to Tyneside. With his mobile ringing almost non-stop it looks as if he`s got another player in at the back and the impressive building work he`s been doing with the squad is starting to grow to a crescendo.

Whether this is Gabriel Heinze remains to be seen but the words 'high profile` have been used. The last time I heard those words connected to a defender though it was when the mackems signed Phil Babb. Anyway it`s supposed to be completed in the next 48 hours.
