The Round Up - Friday

A few snippets emerging from the papers this morning, though nothing to get fires burning as it`s pretty standard fare:

• Frank Quedrue - out of the blue we suddenly seem to be in the market for a player Fulham are releasing! We are supposed to have had a phone call with his agents yesterday morning and his agent seems pretty keen on the move. One to watch as he`s a total radgy gadgy;

• Eidur Gudjonsen - the first indication from the player that a move to Tyneside could be on the horizon as he bigs up Sam Allardyce in this morning`s Sun and says he would be willing to play for him again;

• Bakari Sagna - could be back on the agenda following Matti Flamini`s desire at Arsenal to play right back;

• Andy Carroll - being looked at as a loan option by Ipswich Town. Given Sam`s no loans policy he blasted out yesterday though, this looks unlikely;
