'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tiny Turk on next year

Having overcome all and sundry branding him a racist last season, Emre looks set to try and win a consistent starting place in Big Sam`s line up. Having found room for JJ Okocha in the past and the Iranian fella last season, the gaffer always likes to play with at least one door opener in the team and Emre is adamant he can be that man. Speaking out at the team`s training camp, he said:

'We will do much better next season with these players here. Both Mark Viduka and Michael Owen will help us perform much better and finish higher in the table than last season. I don't think I can do any ball work for three weeks, but hopefully I will be ready for the start of the new season."

emre may be a door opener but he hasn't been able to open any premiership doors so far.
