Having reviewed the Gudjohnsen position over the last couple of days our hopes of signing the player look entirely in Barca`s hands. Having pledged his loyalty to the Catalan club through his father the agent, it looks as if the only way Eidur will end up in black and white is if Barca tell him he`s surplus to requirements. With a forward line of Messi, Deco, Ronaldinho, Etoo and Henry I guess that doesn`t look ridiculously out of the question. From the sounds of it Kenny Shepherd has the deal in place and we`re just waiting on movements regarding Martins before we firm up the chase.
