'If It's Football, It's Vital'

O`B a Hibee

It looks as if Alan O`Brien will miss out on being the third Magpie to carve his name into folklore by scoring against the mackems, as he completed his move north of the border this morning. The youngster has joined John Collins` revolution at Easter Road on a free transfer. O`Brien found his chances of first team action limited by the sheer number of midfielders on our books, with Duff, Emre, Dyer, Pattison and N`Zogbia all having played ahead of him on the left hand side at varying stages of last season. Steve Staunton seems keen for the kid to be playing regular football, so fair play to him and good luck up with the Sweaties.
