'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Luque Redemption

Having been a crock under Souness and an outcast under Glenn Roeder, it looks like Albert Luque is going to start the season with a clean slate under Sam. Talking about the Spaniard he said:

'I feel far too many players have got lost at this football club. It's my responsibility to make sure this does not happen to any current member of the staff or any new player I might bring in. One of the reasons I was successful at Bolton Wanderers was because I was able to transform a foreign player from whatever country he had come from into a Premiership player.

That's because we found out what problems he had as early as we possibly could. I don't want to be too critical of what has happened here in the past but in my opinion there has not been enough focus on what is happening in a player's life away from the training ground and the club.'

fair enough, fresh start for him, lets hope he repays the faith being shown in him. Big Sam does have a way of getting the best out of 'unwanted' players.

I agree if anyone can bring this player back to form, it will be Sam. Its a tough job, but someones gotta do it
pandapops
If not, its the bench. i dont want any games wasted on him trying to find his forgotten form he had at deportivo. i hope BSA sorts him out pre season tbh.

I think he'll be away to someone in La Liga on loan. Probs Villareal.
