News this morning suggests that Sam has been inundated with centre halves offered to him, as hungry agents seek to devour the transfer kitty up in NE1. Names in the ring so far include Rio`s less talented younger brother and West Brom`s latest auction, Curtis Davies. It looks like neither will be on the menu though as Sam looks set to put his faith in the outstanding Steven Taylor and pair him with an older head.
