'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jinky Jimmy on the semis

Speaking to UEFA.com, Jinky Jimmy Milner has been speaking about his hopes of finally picking up some silverware for the under 21s this week. With his locker hardly stacked with the stuff following spells with Leeds, Villa and ourselves, let`s hope the lad can finally get something around his neck other than a millstone. He said:

"Every team in this tournament is obviously going to be a decent team to get here, but we know what quality we have in our squad and we know we can go all the way as long as we play to our ability. We'll go out there and give everything we've got and if we can play to the top of our game I'm sure we can do well.

It was a tough group to get out of and we've done that, mission accomplished. I don't think we've played our best football yet and that is definately a good thing. I hope we can start peaking towards the latter end of the competition because playing our best football we've got as good a chance as anyone, and we're high on confidence.

We've got a massive squad and top quality players. It's a team game and whoever gets the chance to go out there and play will play like they normally would. It's not going to affect anyone. Each game we go out there and give our all and hopefully get the job done - that's getting into the final.'

Good lad. A trier, who genuinely feels for the club. Glad we pipped Villa to him.
