Jinky Jimmy and Tayls into semis

Good news of sorts for Newcastle fans as all three of our under 21 representatives are going to be soaking up the semi final atmospheres at the European Championships. With Tim Krul already through following the Netherland`s win over Portugal, it was nailbaiting stuff as England had to beat Serbia to guarantee progression.

Goals from Leroy Lita and Matt Derbyshire ensured they went through but it kicked off big style (© Danny Dyer) in the final 15 minutes, as Derbyshire`s goal left the Serbs irate. In the fracas following the goal, Milner was booked, whilst Spur`s Tom Huddlestone was sent off in the final stages. Throw in some racist chanting from the Serbian fans and alleged racist abuse towards Justin Hoyte and you`ve got pretty much the picture.

Overall then it`s a bonus in terms of big game experience for the lads but, given Milner`s chalked up nearly 65 appearances for the season now, there`s always that fear that it`ll hamper next season, with tired legs coming after nearly a year`s non-stop football.

Doing us proud. Better than Bentley and Richardson, the spoilt bling *****s.

Good for them. Good to see that they don't flake on the big stage, either. Bodes well for the future, although the whole fatigue issue is a valid point.
