'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dooks off to Asia

Having successfully overcome the Solano-Peru problem, we`ve now been lumbered with both Oba Martins and Mark Viduka being set for international issues this year. With the Dooks off to the Asia Cup in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, and Martins set for the African Nations Cup at the end of the year, it seems like we`ll be losing two of our front four for extended periods of time.

Aussie coach Graham Arnold said:

'It's great news. We can't hide the fact we have been in discussions with Mark over the last three or fours days about his availability for the Asian Cup. The first indications weren't a good sign. However, he's made the decision (to continue with the Socceroos). The first decision was to retire, but after time thinking about it, he's made his availability clear. He's totally committed to the shirt and totally committed to the cause.'

Unbelievable, its going to be tough however we know this might be the case when we sign these players we still go ahead because they do a great job between these periods. Its frustrating but you will overcome this
