Sam on Reebok return

Sam on his return to his old stamping ground:

'As the old saying goes, it's sod's law, isn't it? It's very, very interesting to go back to the Reebok Stadium and I look forward to it. I don't think I'm dreading it. I had a fantastic nearly eight years there, but my time is over now. I had a lot of friends, of course, who are very, very knowledgeable about Bolton, and the backroom staff and the players will be right up for trying to beat me, of course.

We will see what we do when we get there. I hope we start the season with a good result. I should think it (the reaction) will be pretty good, I would hope so. After finishing the last four years in eighth, sixth, eighth and seventh, and two European qualifications for the first time in the club's history, I think I left the club in a very healthy and profitable state.'
