'If It's Football, It's Vital'

General tattle summary

Just a few bits and pieces to tidy up today, as the mega frenzy that was the last week finally calms down.

First - Tedious link number 342, a French striker (no doubt under McKay`s wing) called Bafe Gomis. Heard of him? No? Neither had I until this morning. Plays for St Etienne and is using the media to drum up support from suitors.

Second - Carlos Van Der Cortos (Carl Cort to you) has dragged his wife away from the local Tesco and tipped up at the Walkers Bowl following his release from the Wolves. He`s signed for Leicester for an extended period on their comfy treatment chebbles.

Third - The Nobster - "I`ve not retired from international football yet". The amount of pleas the Peruvian has made he`d be better off playing the trumpet in Lima with an open guitar case in front of him.

Fourth - Tal Ben Haim. The Times says Monday - every other paper says he`s signing but without stating a time.

Fifth - Baked Bean heed Wes Brown. Linked by some nationals, denied by the local papers.

Sixth - Thick Mick McCarthy wants our Irish winger to join him for a season`s loan at Wolves.
