The Duke signs

The Duke signs

Having pipped Joey Barton to the post as our first summer signing, due to some funny goings on at Man City, Vital Newcastle welcomes Mark 'The Dook` Viduka to Newcastle. Having scored against us on a number of occasions it`s nice to know he won`t be repeating the trick this year.

Dooks has signed up for two years initially, with the option of a third as well. Sam has compared him as direct competition for Shola, hinting at a big man-little man combo with either Owen or Martins.

A great signing. Should guarantee you 15-20 league goals next season.

I hope so. Add that to Owen and Martins and we might actually have three players in double figures for the first time in however many years.
