News across the wires reaches the NUFC bunker this morning with the fact that Big Mark Viduka is getting poked, prodded and generally probed as we run him through his medical at St James` this morning. With the deal set to be inked today it takes Sam`s incomings to two, replacing the seven that have currently been smacked out the exit door. News on him, with a full profile, when confirmation comes through.
Big Sam meanwhile said:
'Mark (Viduka) is almost in the bag. It's been difficult because he has been on holiday, but we're nearly there. We hope to sort out a medical for next week and then that will be done.'
