Barton update

Barton update

In what seems to be another drawn out NUFC transfer saga, the Joey Barton situation seems no nearer to resolving itself, with West Ham apparently set to offer him £1m more a season. You can almost see the pound signs ringing up in his agent Willy McKay`s eyes at the thought of a 10% cut of that. The Mirror talks about a quite obscene £80k a week figure being bandied about, whilst we`re only offering him the pauperly sum of £60k. What impact this will have on the Parker deal is open to question. Updates when possible…

Im a Villa and Ive keeping an eye on this whole saga, hoping we might try and sign him,his agent is clearly doing a very good job.I know it was reported that he wanted a move to Newcastle,But it was reported last week that he also fancied a move to Villa.Did yez see him on SSN yesterday,he just turns that charm on and £££signs increase.I wonder if he was that charming to Dabo?

Get the cigars out to celebrate signing that low life. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team.

Joey Barton is trouble. He's assaulted at least three teammates, been handed at least £120,000 worth of fines by Manchester City, slagged off his manager, slagged off his teammates, and shown a less than desirable attitude towards the fans. If he was in any other walk of life then he'd be showed the door (or more likely, thrown out of it) but because he can kick a ball we're all meant to excuse his criminal behaviour and egotistical attitude. Seriously, it's hard to see how Big Sam could have made a worse start at Newcastle United.
