EMO on goals

Speaking following another blank against Brazil England`s Michael Owen isn`t worrying where his next goal is going to come from, despite the fact he got absolutely next to nothing in terms of service. Speaking following the game he said:

'I am not concerned about my game. I know it has been a long time out, but I am just happy to be back out on the pitch now, not feeling any problems in my knee. I have had plenty of time to get used to it again, as I was back at the end of April with Newcastle in the Premiership. I have been on the go playing in the first team since then and am up with the pace of the game and I feel fine.

It is probably best that people do judge me just by my goals, because that is what I have always done, score goals. I am just pleased to be back, without any aches and pains, feeling fit within myself and so goals are the least of my worries. Of course, I would be lying if I said I was not looking forward to my next goal. But I would also be lying if I said I was worrying about it.'

Face it, Owen hasnt got the explosiveness in his legs anymore, hes about done!
BomBom
After a year out he's only played 4 games. Too early to judge IMHO.
SirLes
It'll take a straight run of at least eight to ten games before we can start judging his attributes and performance.

Toon4LiFe
he'll come good. Whether it's in a b&w shirt or not is the only question.
