Mercenary Frederick fighting Ashley

The neverending story that is the Toon takeover looks set to drag, as newspaper reports say Fat Fred is set to cajole the board into recommending they reject the offer of Mike Ashley`s £1 a share bid. They say that he`s looking to Far East investors to buy out both Ashley and himself.

Unsurprising stuff from a man who claims to have the best interests of NUFC at heart but enjoys the kudos and the money of being a club chairman far too much. Citing the case of Sir Jack Hayward recently should bring a bit of embarrassment to the Jabba, as Hayward recently gave away his shareholding in Wolves for a £1, proving the investor paid £30m into the club by way of a transfer kitty. Somehow I can`t see Fred doing that for us…

Disappointing (but entirely predictable) behaviour from the Fat Controller. Looks like this is set to drag on for some time; as is usual with board takeovers at this club. Typical.
