'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Oba says sorry…again

Having cocked up again when it comes to the Super Eagles, Oba seems to be doing a lot of backtracking and grovelling as he tries to patch up his problems with Bertie McVogts and the Nigerian FA. His latest wandering act has got Vogts to the brink of dropping him ahead of the Uganda game. Oba said:

"I just have to do my best. We've got a lot of good players in this team and I'm not sure of playing (in tomorrow's game in the Ugandan capital) so I just have to give my best and see if the coach will give me an opportunity.'

Do Nigeria really have the options up front to drop Oba? I doubt it, which is why he does what he wants.
