'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Neill, Nonda and Silvestre

Three pieces of strange info reach the Vital Newcastle offices regarding future signings. First up is rumours that we're going to be beaten to the signing of Leighton Baines by the Mancs - but will sign Mickael Silvestre from them.

Second is the tip that we'll try and get Lucas Neill included in any deal for Parker, in order to sort out our right back quandary.

Third is the news in the local media that we're interested in getting Shabani Nonda from Roma. The player, who quite frankly looked gash whilst on loan with Blackburn last season, has a price tag of about 2m.

The Mancs have Evra and Baines will know that a starting spot would be rare, Nonda stinks and i dont beleive it, its his agent trying to spin gold. Silvestre prefer to play in centre of defense, and we seem to have other ideas there. Neill, i dont know abot him... we need a good right back and i cant think of any atm, perhaps he would be a good signing. I was hoping Sam aimed higher tho...

I think I'd be happy with Neill and Baines as a full back pairing. Nonda's mince though..
