'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Going for a Danish?

With the trail having gone quiet on Danish defenders in the last few months, the old chestnut about FC Copenhagen defender Michael Gravgaard has reared it's head again. Despite having a deal through to 2011, the Denmark international wants a move this summer to a bigger competition. Obviously the cash cow of the Premier League ticks all the boxes in this respect.

Apparently we've already registered our interest in Gravgaard, but will face competition from Aston Villa and Olympique Marseille. Given Villa's stock of centre halves (Mellberg, Ridgewell, Cahill, Laursen) I think this might be a bit of a non-starter from their angle. Can't say about Marseille however. Another one to add to the rumour list, spotters.
