'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Playoff Fallout

Despite being a predominantly Roeder era target, Curtis Davies has come back onto the radar following West Brom`s inability to reclaim a place in the Premier League. Astronomical fees are being mooted for a lad with just one season of PL football to his name. Thanks - but I think I`d rather have Ben Haim for nowt.

Also mentioned is Alou Diarra from Lyon. Pompey, Man Yoo, Juve and Spurs are all mentioned as potential suitors. Quite obviously though he`d prefer a move to the Lane because Spurs are 'the` up and coming force in world football at the moment and any player worth their salt would want to run out to Chas and Dave every fortnight. Alright?

I wouldn't splash out a whopping chunk of our warchest on Davies. Too raw for what we need at the moment.

Agreed - £10m? Get real and settle for £5m plus incentives. We've been stung on Bramble for a similar trick.
