'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gerrard sticks his oar in

In amongst the movers and shakers, Steven Gerrard has made the play to try and snare England`s Michael Owen into a move to Anfield. Apparently he`s talked with the Yankee owners and has mentioned Owen`s name prominently as the type of player he thinks he should be playing alongside for the Victims. With Benitez rather less keen it`ll be interesting to see how this one pans out, especially given the doubts over the Spaniard`s future. Jamie Carragher has also chipped into the growing calls to bring our 'ten games in two seasons wonder` home.

I doubt if Owen would want to stay at the "havent won anything in 50 bleedin years club".
artful_dodger74
Probably not. The passionless little ***** will sit around for another year though on his 105k a week however.
SirLes
Quality 'toon' striker. cant wait to see him partner martins next season. :)
Toon4LiFe
We'll give you Cisse + 7 mil for Owen.
Aamir
"The Victims" hey? Better than being team full of tossers that take the p*ss out of their own fans. How dare you?
gerrybeckett
Fat wife-beating tw*ts who live in a dump and expect succes from a bunch of greedy time wasters.....the mugs of The North.

Better hold a candlelit vigil over this article at Liverpool Cathedral eh Gezza? (dress code = Free Michael Shields t-shirts). I'm sure Jimmy Tarbuck and Atomic Kitten would turnout. Singalong now - "10 more years without parole...."
SirLes
SirLes - you forgot the part about 'no Bulgarian waiters allowed' and 'Sanchez taches a must have'. Remember the time they laid out flowers in a back alley thinking it was a dead child, when it turned out to be the leftovers of someone's KFC mega bucket?
Roy4Triggs
Make sure the doorstaff look out for forged tickets - we don't want no jibbers. Best ready the tear-gas just in case lads?
BaldEagle
You lot can speak! Nottingham Forest have won the European Cup more than you lot. Lets keep the personal insults down and talk about football.
Aamir
Forest had a genius in charge. We had Lee, Dinnis and the mob.
SirLes
Can we have Owen back?
Aamir
Pay us the £17m we shelled out for him and he can go in a heartbeat. Not for the £9m being bandied about.
SirLes
9 mil + Cisse.
Aamir
No thanks. Given his celebrations during the 2005/06 season at SJP you can safely say he won't be made welcome.
SirLes
Owen wants to come back to us. Big Sam won't stop him.
Aamir
Probably not but it'll be another damning verdict on the way football is these days. Loyalty is the forgotten word. Wasn't he going to walk out on you any way to make more money on a Bosman?
SirLes
We sold him, he won nothing, we won the FA cup and CL. He betrayed us. BUT, I STILL WANT HIM BACK!
Aamir
He's won the equivalent of the lottery joining us. £100k a week and two years free holiday to breed horses.
SirLes
