Tayls on Owen

Having turned out with him at Turf Moor on Friday Steven Taylor is confident of England`s Michael Owen being a Newcastle player next season. With ManYoo and Victimpool still sniffing, our young centre half has spoken positively about EMO`s future:

'I was absolutely delighted for him - it was just a pity he couldn't score, that would have topped things off. He has been looking sharp in training, he is much stronger and I think Newcastle will see the best of him.'

Off target? Definitely. Needs to sharpen up and stop taking tips off Alan Smith.
