In the press - 21/05/2007

Thumbing past page three and onto the sport stories this morning sees a few different rumours knocking about in the nation`s press. First up is the fact that Sylvain Distin is supposed to have given us the brush off, instead favouring a move to Pompey. Perhaps the new Titus-Judas line up means Sol Campbell will be on his way out the door?

Following that is a quick exit story. With Juve being promoted back to Serie A over the weekend, Oba Martins has again been linked with a move to the other black and whites of world football. No fee has been mentioned for the move to the Bianconeri.

Lastly is a short in the Mirror saying that we`ll face legal action if we try and poach any of Bolton`s backroom team.

Distin is too sloppy, has some great games and then gives the ball away too often in other games. I'm glad he isn't coming.

He was like that when he played for us. Seems to go into Bramble like trances every so often.

Would be sad to see Oba go. Then again he'd be mad to turn down Juve.
