Nobby calls time

Seemingly resigned to his international career reaching the 'Beckham` stage, Nobby looks to have called it quits in his attempts to play for the Incas again. Speaking to the media about the coach he was less than complementary:

"The national team is a closed chapter as the coach does not count on me. Since Uribe assumed control he never called me up as he did with other overseas players. I don't expect Uribe to come on his knees now to ask me to return but there are other ways. We, the players, aren't packages or robots. I'm not resentful and I wish with all my heart that Peru have a wonderful Copa America and World Cup qualifiers."

Peru will strugggle without him!

They've got a good young crop coming through - Farfan and Pizarro for starters. Better for us if Nobby isn't going half way round the world every month.

He's retired from them before but he is right to stop now, he can elongate his newcastle career by another season maybe.

Called time on his international career and soon will be calling time on his newcastle careeer.
will it ever happen
