'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Viduka, Fernandes and Barnes

Fleet Street are eyeing up a couple of deals for Big Sam already as the transfer merry-go-round starts to speed up. Up first is, unsurprisingly, Mark Viduka. Available on a Bosman and having been a long term target of the club, we're supposed to be battling ManYoo for the player.

Another transfer battle looms with Sam's former club Bolton over Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes. Obviously the big fella had done his scouting homework over at the Reebok but is still hot on the player.

Elsewhere Giles Barnes has pledged his future to Derby next season, ruling out the anticipated move to either us or Tottenham for the time being.

Should let viduka go, he only does it in spurts now and it's not good enough. Needs to be doing it week in week out.
will it ever happen
