'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rumour List Update - 11/05/07

Despite having Shay, Harps and the Krul on our books, Captain Tittle Tattle has sprung into action to link us with a new keeper. This time it`s the agent of Atletico Mineiro goalkeeper Diego Alves Carreira revealing the interest of two Premiership clubs in the shot-stopper to take the link list into double figures. No doubt eager to up his agent`s fee, he quipped:

'There's been some contact from Italy for him, but the favourites at the moment are Arsenal and Newcastle.'

Thanks. Moving on…and it`s us and Arsenal again battling for another, you guessed it, Atletico Mineiro youngster. This time the lad is William Lanes da Lima. £4m quoted, with some lame quotes saying we called him yesterday. Righto.

Linked so far:

Derek Boateng, Kevin Nolan, Tal Ben Haim, Peter Crouch, Steve Sidwell, Craig Bellamy, Christian Vieri, Christian Brocchi and Marco Zoro.
