Paper Frenzy

Paper Frenzy

With newspaper speculation hotting up about the appointment of Sam Allardyce, former club Bolton looks to be the main target of our alleged transfer interest this summer.

Both Kevin Nolan and Tal Ben Haim take up the majority of the cloumn inches, especially in the Independent, despite the fact Nolan has just pledged his future to the Trotters with a new four year deal. Ben Haim however is out of contract and looks set to be the focus of our Bosman attention.

Steve Sidwell though has seem seemingly resisted our overtures and opted for the cushy life of benchwarming for £50k a week at Chelsea.

Back to London and Darren Bent has again come back on the radar following Charlton's relegation to the Championship whilst Hertha Berlin midfielder Kevin Boateng appears from out of nowhere in the Daily Mail.

Finally England's Michael Owen will be allowed to play in the Euro game against Estonia this summer as Sam Allardyce will let him.
