Taylor Talks

Never one to miss the chance of a soundbite, Steven Taylor has given his tuppence worth on the shower that was Reading last night. I`ve got to say - I don`t think his appraisal of the first half was quite as honest as Vital Newcastle`s:

"Our first-half performance was fantastic, but in the second half we took our feet off the pedal a bit. We gave away a soft goal, and it's disappointing. All the lads are devastated. We had a few good chances after the goal. Shola Ameobi and Obafemi Martins had chances, but the ball wouldn't go in and it's a massive kick in the teeth.

It was a game we wanted to win, and now we've got to pick ourselves up and prepare for Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. The main thing was that they came through the game injury-free. Michael was looking sharp, and it was good to see him and Shola back on the pitch. It was just a shame we couldn't capitalise on their return and get a result.'

Fantastic first half? Get a grip Tayls lad!
Roy4Triggs
At least he came over and clapped the fans at the end. Him, Owen and Harper were the only ones to bother.

They should be shot with **** for doing that. After all - we only pay their wages!

Yea i think they get paid enough to show some gratitude to the supporters. But Taylor is by far our best defender and if he gets a decent partner in defence our centre back positions would be sorted. Mighty Milner had yet another great game. These guys can only get better. MOTM does to Milner, second place Owen, third place Taylor. If there was such a thing

Agree with your call on the 1-2-3 T4L.
