'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Snippets from the press

With the local media perhaps privy to more information on the club than their national counterparts, some interesting segments leapt out from the Journal this morning. The N`Zogbia talk was one with the paper citing:

"N'Zogbia was singled out for sustained criticism by his manager at the interval and was subsequently substituted before the start of the second half. The episode will have alerted other Premiership clubs and it will surely increase speculation the former Le Havre prospect will be leaving St James's Park in the summer."

They also focused on the likes of Duff, Emre, Martins and Parker as, while not specifically naming them, people that might be looking to get away this summer:

"The Magpies hierarchy have attempted to deny suggestions they will be looking to sell any of their high-profile players at the end of the season, but that is unlikely to perturb potential buyers who know several of them are keen to be playing European football next season."

Sell Martins and it's the Beardsley, Waddle, Gazza era all over again.

I'd let Emre, Duff and Parker go but not Given and Martins.
