'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No EMO bother

With rumours flying around over whether or not England`s Michael Owen has suffered some sort of set back in his rehab (no, no, no…), Glenn Roeder has been quick to come out and shoot these down in flames. Speaking to the press he quipped:

"While Shola Ameobi will be at The Riverside tonight I have decided not to play Michael Owen. But any talk of him having a setback is complete and utter rubbish.'

for gods sake, why not just get him fit for next season, forget the end of this one?

I know - it's only because England are playing that there's that much fascination with this one. If he turned out for the national ****e before playing for us there'd be hell on.

Leave him out, block England and then watch him fly next year.
