'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Glenn getting a Brazilian

Everyone knows Scott Parker hasn`t had the best of times on Tyneside. This season has seen the former Charlton and Chelsea man heckled by his own fans - sarcastic clapping seemed to follow from our skipper - and many aren`t endeared by his less than vocal captaincy and crab like movement on the pitch. With a move to West Ham having cropped up in January, things seem to have escalated to a new level. I think I`m one of a growing number who thinks he`ll be angling for a move back 'darn sarf` when the summer window reopens.

The press have also jumped on the bandwagon following these developments, linking Scott with a move to Arsenal in return for Gilberto. However the staggering sum of £8m is mentioned which just about rules out any feasibility of that - given Wenger`s notorious shrewdness in the transfer market. Juventus have also been mentioned as a possible suitor for the Brazilian and somehow I think he`d probably choose the 27 times Scudetto winning Bianconeri over the good old English black and whites!

Verdict - a bog standard '2+2 = 98677' paper story.

Can't see the deal going through anyway.

It is a very vile thought. I'm shuddering just thinking about it.

I've just vomited cornflakes all over the monitor. That's a great way to start the day Ross.
