Scouting update

With the season drawing to a close and targets being drawn up Glenn Roeder has assured our fans that there will be some serious work done on the recruitment front. As part of this overhaul it looks like a new scout will be appointed, Roeder confirming that:

"I hope to be able to make a key appointment in terms of scouting in the very near future. I think there will be more of a European flavour about our set-up.'

With Sidwell much touted as being the first through the door, Nancy defender Pape Diakhate has also been linked. Roeder also discussed the fact he`ll be nipping away to take in some matches this week involving potential targets.

some serious work on the manager front as well by the sound of the gossip.

Why are we checking out abroad again? Start scouring the lower leagues. Billy Sharp for starters.
Roy4Triggs
Agree with Sharp. Would be worth a punt on him and maybe Freddie gypsy Eastwood. Definitely look at Nugent too.
BaldEagle
Nugent's a great shout but we'll end up getting into about a 6 club bidding war and pay over the odds (again). Eastwood wouldn't stick it up north. Sharp's the man.
