Yank Tank on the Arsenal game

Yank Tank on the Arsenal game

Rather large US ProBowl Soccer Varsity Allstar Oguchi Onyewu has had a radge at half arsed incompetent Howard Webb following the referee`s total inability to spot a midfielder climbing all over a defender in the penalty area like Spiderman in his new film. The sizeable centre half ranted:

"I definitely thought I could have had a penalty. I felt like that during the game and even more so afterwards when I looked at the replay on TV. It was unfortunate because a few seconds before the referee had been warning us not to do that, and he watched the guy do it to all over me and did not call a penalty. It was a bad call for us but it's the name of the game - some you get and some you don't.

If I had done it at the other end to an attacker it would have probably gone the other way. But, as I say, some you get and some you don't. We didn't get the call at home when we needed it, but we have to keep working hard and looking forward. I think we could have taken the three points and we had plenty of chances, especially in the first half when we had chances to go ahead. All that was missing from the performance was that goal, but it's important for our morale that we kept a clean sheet. And going into the weekend game at Portsmouth it gives us a little more motivation.

We had a string of bad results in the last few games and I think we have turned it round a bit during the Easter period. We did it at Sheffield United and took a point from Arsenal. I hope that gives us some momentum going into the last few games of the season. If we can get a few more wins it will put us in a good place in the final standings, which is what we are aiming for.'
