'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Salty speaks

Promotion side legend and mackem free kick specialist Scott Sellars has given his views ahead of the weekend`s match against the Blades. Scotty, now a coach at the club, believes it`s going to be a hell of a battle:

"It's a big one for me personally with Newcastle coming to town. We need something out of it to stay away from the bottom three and I know Newcastle want to get back in form too. The thing with Bramall Lane is it makes a really good atmosphere when it's full - and add the travelling Geordies to that it should be quite an occasion.

I played the last time Newcastle came down in 1994 and it was like that then. We lost and we were walking off the pitch gutted until we were told Arsenal had lost and we finished third.'

I remember that game in 1994! So strange after the game cos Geordies were all jumping up and down and shaking our hands even though you'd lost 2-0 due to the fact you'd made Europe!
