'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Taylor on the weekend

With the Chronicle trotting out the usual clichés ahead of the weekend relegation crunch with Sheffield United, regular rent-a-quote Steven Taylor pops up with his views on the weekend:

"We've got to make sure we put it right at Sheffield United. It's a massive game for us, and we need to get the points. A few teams below us are trying to catch us up, and it's important for us to do the business. We know what we need to do. It's simple, and it's not rocket science. It's important that we stick together and look after each other. It'll be hard but we know what we have to do.

Sheffield United are fighting for their lives and they'll be looking to put us on the back foot from the start. They'll try and put us under a lot of pressure, and we'll have to deal with that. We'll have to be strong defensively, and hopefully we'll take whatever chances come our way.
You've got to do yourself justice by performing whenever you pull on the black-and-white shirt.

We've got players coming back from injury, and it's important to establish yourself and get your name on that team-sheet. I just want to play every week and do my best for the team.'
