'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Glenn on Duff/Butt

Gaffer on Duffer:

'Damien has done so well for the Irish this week and we are hoping he will continue in this vein of form against Manchester City tomorrow. In fact now that he is fully fit we are hoping to see the Damien Duff we know and I am hoping that he will finish the season strongly for us. He has taken longer to settle in Newcastle than we hoped but I still feel positive about him and I am happy we signed him because he is a class player.'

Gaffer on Butt:

'Nicky is a Manchester lad and - he won't mind me saying - from a tough area, and he tells me when he was at Old Trafford this is the fixture he always liked playing in the most, even more than Liverpool, which is saying something. Nicky always shows his quality if we go behind.'

i hope the team gets stuck in tomorrow. Not another repeat of our earlier season clash. Preys the team shows the quality they're capable of! i.e duff, dyer, martins etc
