'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Paper Talk

Without pulling any punches the papers have locked onto the seemingly inevitable axe-wielding at SJP, with no less than four players earmarked for the exit door (quite low in my opinion). Emre, Bramble and Babyaro are those most strongly linked with moves away, Emre to one of about ten clubs and the out of contract Bramble to the division below. Babayaro remains a consistent problem due to his cripplingly high Winston Bogarde-esque wages - who the hell would want to take him anyway?

From a Vital Newcastle perspective, hoy Carr, Moore, Onyewu and Bernard into the mix as well and we`re going to be left severely short at the back. As a former defender himself lets hope Roeder doesn`t lump all our brass in on Curtis Davies and Anton Ferdinand and end up short again like this season.
