'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Daily Round Up - 20/03/07

As expected Liverpool`s youth team took the semi final honours against our own last night. Trailing 4-2 after the first leg, our bairns couldn`t match Alkmaar`s sterling performance and crashed out with a 3-1 loss. Rob Cavener had briefly narrowed the deficit before two goals from Lindfield and one from Ryan eased the Reds into the final. Kazenga LuaLua also enjoyed an early bath after being sent off for dissent.

Meanwhile those super scribes at the Chronicle have been quick to rubbish any links we may have with Diego Forlan (Wide of the Mark). The former Man United Uruguayan now playing for Villareal had been linked with a weekend move to bolster our misfiring forward line.
