Sib the Sexist on new deal

Despite the raised eyebrows and cat-calling when he first arrived on Tyneside, big Tone Sibierski has proved himself to be a great asset to the squad this season, weighing in with a decent haul in Europe and performing the linkman role up front with the minimum of fuss. With Bolton and Wigan being linked with him in the press the Frenchman has come out and told the French papers that we`ve offered him another season and that he`s going to accept in principal. Obviously this means nothing until we`ve got his autograph on the deal but given Sibierski`s honest appraisal of his time on Tyneside it`ll be good to have him as back up to Shola, Oba and England`s Michael Owen next year.

Could not agree with u any more Ross. Quality back up player

Yeah, I can go along with that, better to have him as a squad member than let him go, unless we get another quality striker, then mabybe it will be time as there are only so many back up players you need depending on how well Owen does on his return, he is a major worry as far as I'm concerned, hope he makes it back but it is a long time out and his injury record is very bad.
